After Dark

When the sun goes down, the whole landscape transforms.

In the darkness, we become more aware of the light, the shadows, and the spaces between.

The way the moonlight illuminates the land.

It all feels more vast, a sense of wonder with secrets to unlock.

The world becomes monochromatic with pops of color exploding like fireworks.

I have always loved photographing in the dark. It demands a different cadence…a renewed sense of patience and a heightened sense of awareness.

It is like a moving meditation.
